O’Hea’s big day

ONE of Dandenong’s finest WNBL players will run out for a major milestone tomorrow.
Jenna O’Hea, 26, will hit the court tomorrow afternoon for her 200th WNBL match in a career spanning 10 years when O’Hea and her Rangers team mates take on the Sydney Uni Flames.
The Rangers guard has played for the Australian Institute of Sport, Bendigo Spirit, Melbourne Boomers (formerly Bulleen) and two stints with the Dandenong Rangers – first in 2005-07 and her second and current time at the club since 2011.
In her WNBL career so far, O’Hea has hit 2928 points across her 199 games in the league starting in her first season in 2003/04.
O’Hea was part of Australia’s bronze medal winning basketball team at the 2012 London Olympic Games and is also a triple WNBL All-Star member and in the WNBL off-season she plays for the Los Angeles Sparks in the WNBL.
Tip off for the Rangers versus Flames match will be 3pm at Dandenong Basketball Stadium and the match is also televised on ABC1.
In other WNBL news, the league announced today the signing of Wattle Valley as their major rights naming sponsor.
The food producer, owned by Menora Foods, has its headquarters based out of Noble Park.
