MELBOURNE Victory’s championship-winning assistant Aaron Healey has been appointed Dandenong City’s senior coach for 2015.
Healey has been associated with the club for three years and served as Dandy City’s technical director in 2014, he replaces Ivan Duzel.
The former Young Socceroo worked with Ernie Merrick at Victory between 2005/11 and was instrumental in helping Dandy City transition into the NPLV.
Healey, who completed his FFA Pro Licence with the likes of Socceroos coach Ange Postecoglou and Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold back in 2010, was excited about the season ahead.
“I’m an ambitious coach and I view this as a great opportunity to resume senior coaching,’’ he said.
“Dandenong City is a great club and they have done a wonderful job entering the NPL in challenging circumstances. Going forward the club has enormous potential, it has a vision and focus on development and I’m determined to drive this at the top end.’’
Training will commence three days a week, starting Tuesday 11 November and Thursday 13 November at 6.30pm at the club’s home base at Frank Holohan Reserve, Endeavour Hills.
