A CAR crashed into a power-pole in Dandenong this morning, causing the closure of Stud Road between Herbert and King streets.
The road was been closed in both directions after emergency and United Energy crews were called to the scene about 7.40am.
A United Energy spokeswoman said the power pole was expected to be replaced about 1.42pm.
“The only thing holding up the pole is the car at the moment.”
Three UE crews, including a construction crew, were on the scene, she said.
About 70 customers, who suffered power outages, have been reconnected.
VicRoads advises drivers to seek an alternative route.
A spokesman said it was hoped to open the road before afternoon peak-time.
