House razed to the ground

POLICE are urging witnesses to come forward after a man was seen fleeing a Springvale home destroyed by fire in the middle of the day.
Smoke was seen coming from the Albert Avenue house about 3.30pm on Friday, where a man was spotted trying to put out the blaze at the back of the house with a hose before fleeing the property.
He jumped the fence and ran into a nearby park.
Police wish to speak to the man – described as between 30 to 40 years old and 160 centimetres tall – or anyone who saw him at the time.
