IN A three week period, two Dandenong businesses have been robbed and staff threatened with knives.
Businesses on Herbert and Ross streets were targeted last month, where the offender fled with cash.
The first incident occurred at a business on Herbert Street on Thursday 3 September, about 7.40am.
A man entered the store and placed a bottle of alcohol on the counter before producing a knife from a blue shopping bag and demanding cash.
The staff member complied and the man fled west on foot toward Stud Road.
The second incident was at a business on Ross Street on Wednesday 14 September, about 8.15pm.
A man entered the store placing a drink from the fridge on the counter, and lifted up his top revealing a knife in his pants and then demanded money.
The staff members retreated to the back of the store and the man helped himself to the till.
The third robbery occurred at the same store on Ross Street three days later, about 8.30pm.
On this occasion, a man entered the store and approached the counter with a knife and a pink shopping bag again demanding cash be handed over.
The staff member passed cash over to him before chasing the man about 100 metres down Ann Street toward Stud Road.
No-one was injured in the incidents, but police believe the same man was involved in each armed robbery.
The man is Caucasian or Middle Eastern in appearance, aged in his late teens to early twenties with a thin build. He is around 175cm tall and has a pointy nose.
Detectives of the Dandenong Embona Task Force have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
