Hotham MP Clare O’Neil has a new seat on the ALP front bench.
She’ll look after the justice portfolio in the shadow ministry, Opposition Leader Bill Shorten announced on Saturday 23 July.
Ms O’Neil was among 13 women included in the 32 positions.
“It was a huge honour today to be elected by my colleagues to Labor’s front bench,” she wrote on her official Facebook page.
“It’s a chance to make great public policy and speak up for the millions of Aussies who rely on the ALP for a fair go. That’s why I became a Member of Parliament.”
Isaacs MP Mark Dreyfus held onto the role of Shadow Attorney-General and added Shadow National Security Minister to his duties.
