Sheep shearing, goat milking, wool spinning and a talking cockatoo are just some of the unique experiences expected at the Doveton Show.
Now in its 17th year, the low-cost family friendly alternative to the Melbourne Show is setting up at Myuna Farm on Sunday from 10am-4pm.
Rides, cheap showbags and petting zoos are in store for the kids, while adults will be able to watch some local musical acts as they munch on some festival food.
The show is designed to be as cost effective as possible, with many of the events free.
“Families can come to the farm for the whole day a not spend any money,” Doveton Show committee member Jo Hamm said.
Entry is just $1 per person or $5 for a family of six and ride packages are available.

The Doveton Show will be at 182 Kidds Road, Doveton.
