Squad talent shines through

The Dandenong District Cricket Association has named its annual VMCU Neil Wright Under-21 side, with 15 of the most talented youngsters in the association selected.
Once again the side will be coached by DDCA legend Craig Slocombe, with the association looking to claim its third shield in just four years.
In last year’s Neil Wright Shield, the DDCA lost its semi-final against Ringwood CA by 59 runs after a brilliant opening three rounds.
Eleven players have been picked from current Turf 1 clubs, with highly touted youngsters such as Jakob Woinarski, Imran Laghmani, Jack Jessiman all part of the final squad, while North Dandenong youngster Caleb Millman will captain after impressing in the last few years for the Maroons.

Doveton North – Bryce Dinger
Hallam Kalora Park – Jack Jessiman
Lynbrook – Ryan Lowe

Narre Warren – Imran Laghmani
North Dandenong – Caleb Millman
Parkfield – Riley Payne
Springvale South – Liam Hamilton, Brayden Sharp, Callum Sigaras and Nathan Villella

The DDCA will kick off its campaign on Sunday 19 November with a clash with North Metro CA at Rowley Allen Reserve, Keysborough, and will also play Eastern CA at Rowley Allen on 26 November and Diamond Valley CA at Hallam Reserve on 10 December to round out their matches.
Sunday 17 December will be the spare day if any games are washed out.
