PRIME Minister John Howard has summoned Springvale Central Ward councillor Youhorn Chea to Canberra next week to welcome the Cambodian Prime Minister.
Cr Chea and his wife will fly out on 11 October to meet Cambodian Prime Minister Bun Rany Hun Sen at a luncheon.
Cr Chea was invited because of his work with the Cambodian community in Greater Dandenong and Australia.
“It is an honour to be invited to meet a man who has not only done so much for creating peace in his own country but a man who has inspired millions of people world wide with his remarkable achievements,” he said.
