Australia Day makes its Mark

ENTERTAINER Mark Mitchell, popular for his role as Con the Fruiterer on Australian television, has been selected as Greater Dandenong’s Australia Day Ambassador.
Greater Dandenong Australia Day Committee chairman Alan Collier said he was delighted to see Mr Mitchell as the day’s ambassador.
“Mark will be part of our parade, make a speech about Australia Day, and present the award to Senior Citizen of the Year,” Mr Collier said.
“We are very proud to have such a fine entertainer as Mark coming.”
