A $3 MILLION extension to Noble Park’s biggest social club has been granted by Greater Dandenong council this week.
The Noble Park Football Social Club comprises angling, golf, football, netball, cricket, lawn bowls and tennis clubs which all make use of the one social facility based in Moodemere Street, Noble Park.
The additions will enhance the space and experience and will be built in two stages.
The extensions will add 530 square metres of floor space to the current 680 square metres.
According to a report before the council on Monday night, stage one will include alterations and additions to a members’ bistro, members’ lounge and TAB, the first floor function room and kitchen and service areas.
The works will be completed by late 2007 or early 2008.
Stage two plans for alterations to the main entrance and foyer, and alterations and additions to the foyer café, gaming lounge and canteen and changerooms.
The club has stressed that no additional Pokie gaming machines will be installed.
Council agrees to more club socialising
