THE Golden Jubilee celebrations of St Anthony’s Primary School in Noble Park continued last week with a Mass for grandparents.
The event also gave grandparents a chance to visit classrooms, sample activities and enjoy morning tea served by senior students.
The school and parish have already held a number of events in 2005 to celebrate its 50th year.
The celebrations began on 13 June with a Mass offered by regional Bishop Christopher Prowse, the annual celebration of St Anthony of Padua.
Mass was followed by supper in the hall where hundreds of people mingled and chatted over a cuppa or a port, doing lots of catching up with old friends.
Also in June, the children of St Anthony’s school presented a jubilee concert to a packed audience.
The school is now preparing for a staff reunion in September.
