A NEW chief executive officer will be appointed to Greater Dandenong council tonight (Thursday) in a meeting closed to the public.
Councillors interviewed prospective candidates at a meeting last Friday 28 July and will tonight decide who will head the city’s executive team after former CEO Carl Wulff resigned earlier this year to go to Ipswich in Queensland.
Acting CEO Bryan Payne has already indicated he is not running for the permanent position. Greater Dandenong’s community services director June Dugina is believed to be the only internal applicant for the job.
Councillors this week could not reveal any of the candidates to local press as they had signed confidentiality agreements.
The meeting will take place at 5.45pm tonight (Thursday) at Springvale Council Chambers.
