Healthy village sales

VICURBAN sold 20 properties in Greater Dandenong’s newest residential estate last month to bring its total sales figures to 54.
The increased sales come as Metro Village 3175 residential estate was also awarded the Housing Industry Association’s (HIA) best small commercial project under $1 million for its discovery centre sales office.
VicUrban development manager Jonathan Room said the opening of stage two of Metro Village had contributed to the growth in sales figures.
The office in which the sales were made was also the recipient of an HIA award for its architectural design.
Mr Room said it had been designed to convey the lifestyle that Metro Village offered potential residents.
DKO Architects and Prebuilt Housing Solutions produced a structure that can be reused in up to three locations and be transported in a complete state.
“We encourage anyone interested in progress at Metro Village 3175 to come and visit the site and take a tour of the discovery centre to get a feel for life in a vibrant community hub of the future,” Mr Room said.
A variety of builders have taken an interest in the Metro Village project, including Burbank, Wincrest and Zuccala.
VicUrban says each will offer a mix of housing choices including detached homes, townhouses and apartments.
To inspect the discovery centre, head to the Metro Village 3175 site at 70 Cheltenham Road, Dandenong, between 11am and 5pm, any day of the week.
