Hunt for Wulff’s successor

City of Dandenong CEOCarl Wulff.
GREATER Dandenong’s business community hopes the successor to outgoing City of Greater Dandenong CEO Carl Wulff will have the same vision and drive to revitalise Central Dandenong.
Mr Wulff last week resigned as CEO, with Greater Dandenong mayor Peter Brown saying his ‘business acumen’ would be missed.
Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce president David Carlson said the focus will be now on Mr Wulff’s successor, to be found over the coming months.
“Carl has played an integral part in the revitalisation of Dandenong,” he said.
“What we are hoping for is his successor to continue on with the momentum the City of Greater Dandenong has had.
“I think there are a lot of positives for Dandenong and it is a long-term plan of attack – we need people within all areas of the council to play their roles.”
Dandenong Retail Traders Association chairman Roy Aspinall said Mr Wulff’s leadership had emanated through the ranks of council’s business wings.
“I think we have always had a good CEO in the City of Greater Dandenong, and we thank Carl for what he has done for retail and wish him well for the future and hope his successor works closely with the retail area.”
Mr Wulff will leave to fill a CEO position in Ipswich, Queensland, and is expected to finish at Greater Dandenong by July.
Cr Brown said council is now commencing the process of finding a new CEO.
