THE City of Greater Dandenong Council will investigate the number of motor racing events held at the Sandown circuit after more complaints from residents last weekend.
Cr Roz Blades said the cars could be heard as far away as Keysborough.
“I don’t think we take enough notice of what events are being scheduled at the track.
“We don’t know whether they are club events, practice sessions or fullblooded races.
“If you can hear them in Keysborough, I’d imagine it would be unbearable in the immediate area of the track.”
Director of City Development Mal Baker said council officers would find out if the track is being used for more events than scheduled.
“The noise did bring complaints, so we will be investigating the matter and taking action if necessary.”
