RESIDENTS of a Dandenong North home awoke to the sound of a firing gun and later found bullets lodged in interior walls last Sunday.
Dandenong Police said two 21yearold occupants in Curtain Crescent were woken at approximately 4.30am on Sunday 15 January by the sound of gun fire.
Senior Constable Amanda Hardy said the occupants did not discover six holes in the home’s front windows until Monday 16 January, nor the bullets lodged in lounge room walls.
Snr Const Hardy said police did not yet know the calibre of firearm, but were conducting tests on bullets found at the scene.
She said police treated firearm offences very seriously, and that Dandenong Criminal Investigation Unit was currently investigating the incident.
