AUSTRALIAN tenor Peter Brocklehurst will perform at a mayoral charity concert in August to help raise money for Greater Dandenong community groups.
The Drum Theatre, at Dandenong Town Hall, will play host to the 2006 Mayoral Charity Concert, with headline acts to include Wendy Stapleton, Peter Brocklehurst, and Cotton, Keays, and Morris.
“I wanted to host a fundraiser that everyone could be a part of and, at the same time, raising money for charity groups that really are the backbone of our community,” mayor Peter Brown said.
“There is a great line-up planned and I am also appealing to local businesses to support the night and the local charities that will benefit from the event.”
Cornerstone and Wellsprings will be two of the beneficiaries of the concert.
Tickets are $65 for general public and $55 for Drum Theatre members.
