WATER and sewerage prices will increase as part of South East Water’s bid to encourage water saving.
The company this week said it would increase water usage fees to encourage people to be more frugal with the substance.
“It will also ensure that we maintain our high level of customer service and continue to invest in water and sewerage infrastructure,” a spokesperson said.
The quarterly service fees will increase – water from $10.96 to $11.35, sewerage from $36.75 to $38.75.
The company said the increases equate to an average 45 cent per week increase for a residential property.
