THE explosive guitar work of ‘The Virtuoso’, Bruce Mathiske, is coming to Dandenong’s Drum Theatre this month.
Mathiske first picked up a guitar at the age of seven and has since become one of Australia’s musical superstars.
He has developed a universal and exciting sound.
Mathiske’s music is enhanced with the flavours of the Mediterranean, Ireland and the sounds of Latin America, Africa and Australia.
He possesses the ability to play bass, rhythm and melody simultaneously and incorporates elements of swing, rock, blues, pop, jazz, easy listening and folk into his work.
When he adds in his combination of percussion, Mathiske will take you on a journey with infectious rhythms and fiery fretwork from far flung corners of his guitar.
To watch his fingers work is mesmerising; his unnatural looking hand contortions will leave everyone in the room inspired.
To see, hear and experience Bruce Mathiske call the Drum Theatre Box Office on 9771 6666 from 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturdays.
