Call goes out to the young

THE City of Greater Dandenong’s Muso Network is calling for young people interested in the music scene to become committee members.
Muso Network promoter Stuart O’Brien said committee members gain first hand experience and knowledge of the local music industry.
“Members gain skills in lighting, stage management, promotion and event management,” he said.
“It’s also a chance to be a part of events such as Jam Nite’s battle of the bands, Oz Day Rocks and Urban Quest.
“All the events are fully supervised, drug and alcohol free and supported by FReeZA. We encourage young people over 15 to be part of this social and interactive group.
“As of May next year, the Muso Network’s new home will be The Castle in Hemmings Park, Dandenong, so there is no better time to join the group,” he said.
Muso Network will host a fundraising sausage sizzle at Bunnings Warehouse in Dandenong on Sunday, 6 November, which will help raise muchneeded funds for the group.
