Path back to employment

DANDENONG parents are being urged to return to work to ensure their skills are not wasted.
LINK Employment and Training general manager Stephen Dunn said a seminar would be held in Dandenong tomorrow (Friday 7 September) to encourage parents and other mature aged people who had left employment to return to the workforce.
“Our seminar is a great opportunity for employers to see first-hand some of the solutions our service can provide – including access to the many parent job seekers we have who are keen to work,” Mr Dunn said.
“We are a local service and we’re sensitive to the needs of our local employers.
“We can work closely with employers to tailor solutions to their staffing needs and to keep them aware of all the options and support available to them.”
Parents entering the workforce, the mature aged, people with a disability and the long term unemployed, can benefit from the Australian Government’s $3.7 billion Welfare to Work incentives.
The free seminar will be held tomorrow (Friday) at the Dandenong Club, Heatherton Road, Dandenong, between 11am and noon.
