Police make car theft plea

POLICE are calling for anyone with more information over the theft of a car, car batteries, and alcohol, to come forward.
A stolen 1984 cream Toyota sedan was stolen from Southland Shopping Centre on 1 December, and police believe it was involved later that day in the theft of two car batteries from a Caltex petrol station on Gladstone Road, Dandenong. About 1pm on 2 December, police believe the car was used in relation to the theft of two bottles of Johnny Walker scotch from Coles Liquorland at Dandenong Plaza.
Police seek a man described as being in his 30s, 178 centimetres tall, of a solid build and southern European appearance with tattoos on his arms, in relation to the thefts.
The registration of the stolen car is PGC 681. Anyone with more information should contact Constable Jenny Van Doorn at Dandenong CIU on 9767 7487.
