Retailers get chance to talk shop

THE Dandenong Retail Traders’ Association (DRTA) is inviting all retailers to come along to a free networking evening next week.
Current and new DRTA members as well as those considering joining are invited to attend the night, to be held next Tuesday.
DRTA chairperson Roy Aspinall said the evening was a chance for retailers to network with fellow Central Dandenong retailers.
“If other retailers know you and your business, then they are more likely to refer their customers to you when your services are required,” he said.
“The stronger the membership the stronger the voice of the DRTA and the more we can achieve for our members.”
The networking evening replaces the normal monthly general meeting and no business will be conducted.
It is expected that council and Victoria Police representatives will also attend.
Mr Aspinall said DRTA members were kept up to date with happenings in Central Dandenong and other issues that might affect or benefit them.
The annual subscription is $60 for the financial year and includes one free ticket to the DRTA annual general meeting and the Business Awards Dinner. Those joining now will receive membership through to June next year.
The DRTA networking evening will be held on Tuesday, 4 April from 6pm to 7.30pm at the Comfort Inn at 124-126 Princes Highway, Dandenong, with finger food and beverages supplied.
