FOR the third year running, the City of Greater Dandenong is hosting Summer Music in the Park, a free concert at Tirhatuan Park, Dandenong North, this Saturday between 1pm and 5pm.
Blues and swing rock’n’roll band the Jump Devils kick off the day’s entertainment, and will be followed by eight-piece swing band Swing It.
Further entertainment will be provided by the Top Cat Dancers, inviting participation in a display of rock‘n’roll dancing.
Greater Dandenong mayor Youhorn Chea urged residents to head to Tirhatuan Park for a fun-filled day of music.
“Music in the Park events are a great way of getting the community together to share a fun day and take advantage of our picturesque local parks,” he said.
Lie back and listen, or enjoy dancing on the grass.
Bring a picnic or enjoy a Dandenong Lions Luncheon Club sausage sizzle. Tea, coffee and ice-creams are also available for purchase.
The festive season is fast approaching, so why not start it off early and enjoy a free, fun day out with family and friends?
Music in the Park is at Tirhatuan Park, Kriegel Way, off Outlook Drive, Dandenong North, Melway reference 81 F8.
