SERVICE with a smile and an unforgettably divine taste that will linger in guests’ memories is the promise of Rahimi Baryalai, proprietor of the marvellous Pamir Kabab House in Thomas Street Dandenong.
Escaping a life of fear and bloodshed in Afghanistan, Rahimi migrated to Perth in 1991 and found a home with his family in Melbourne a year later.
“My hobby was cooking and I love being with people, so I decided to open a restaurant to bring to people the wonderful tastes of my home country,” he said.
After much time and work spent on renovating a dilapidated building in Dandenong, his dream became a reality.
For the past two years since opening Pamir Kabab House, Rahimi has taken pride in serving supremely fresh and tasty 100 per cent traditional Afghani cuisine for lunch and dinner.
Enjoy a dining experience like no other, with exceptional service from Rahimi and his staff and the fabulous food created in the Pamir kitchens by head chef, Fazel who is also from Afghanistan.
“Our food is simple, fresh, healthy and fat-free and is prepared with the most expensive and quality ingredients,” said Rahimi.
“The dumplings are the most popular dish. Made from lean mince lamb, seasoned with mint, coriander and onion, encased in steamed pastry and topped with chicken gravy and yoghurt, they are my customers’ favourite.” Experience the wonderful tastes of true Afghani cuisine at Pamir Kabab House, 161 -163 Thomas Street, Dandenong.
The restaurant is open Tuesday to Sunday from 12 noon and caters for dine in and take away.
