A 21-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed after an altercation in Dandenong South on Saturday morning.
Police said the Keysborough driver and a male passenger were travelling along Greens Rd when they stopped at traffic lights at the Hammond Rd intersection at 2am.
Police said the men had an altercation with the driver of another vehicle, believed to be over traffic matters, and both drivers got out of their vehicles and fought.
The driver of the second vehicle produced a knife, stabbing the 21-year-old in the arm and torso before driving off in what is described as a small 4WD with a female passenger.
The victim went to Valley Hospital in Mulgrave in a serious but stable condition.
