SPRINGVALE welcomes Force 10, the Royal Australian Air Force band for the free Autumn Music in March concert.
The 13-piece big band will perform on 16 March at Springvale’s Burden Park, corner of Springvale and Heatherton roads, Springvale, from 2pm to 4pm.
Councillor Yvonne Herring said the concert was an opportunity for families to enjoy a free day out listening to great music.
“Force 10 will make it a special day for all families and music lovers,” Cr Herring said.
The band plays big band, jazz, jive, funk, blues and Latin American pieces and has just completed its first feature recording.
Force 10 also played alongside Australian music legend James Morrison at the Mount Gambier Generations in Jazz event.
Cr Herring said people were encouraged to bring a picnic lunch or afternoon tea.
“A barbecue, tea, coffee and ice creams will be provided by Lions for a small cost,” she said.
