A taste of life on the hustings

Federal Health Minister Tony Abbott had a taste of the Keysborough way of life when he visited the Keysborough Learning Centre and Parkmore Medical Centre this week. Mr Abbott was lending Liberal candidate for Isaacs Ross Fox a hand in his election campaign when he visited the Keys Shed at the learning centre, which has produced astounding results in offering isolated and retired men a fulfilling social outlet and the opportunity to learn handyman skills. Mr Abbott and Mr Fox were each offered a home brew beer by the ‘house brewer’ Charles Dumas. After relaxing with a beer, Mr Abbott, Mr Fox and Victorian Senator Mitch Fifield visited the Parkmore Medical Centre to congratulate staff on the $100,000 grant the Federal Government had awarded it to provide 24-hour GP coverage.Federal Health Minister Tony Abbott had a taste of the Keysborough way of life when he visited the Keysborough Learning Centre and Parkmore Medical Centre this week.
