Dawning of a special day

A RECORD crowd of more than 400 people attended the Greater Dandenong Dawn Service at the Pillars of Freedom yesterday (Wednesday). Residents wishing to pay respects to Australia’s fallen soldiers braved the crisp morning air, and heard the Last Post played as the sun began to rise. A sausage sizzle breakfast followed at the Dandenong RSL.
