POLICE are looking for a thief who stole money from Coles Supermarket at the Dandenong Plaza earlier this year.
Police said the theft happened on Thursday 24 January about 6pm at the Coles supermarket inside the Dandenong Plaza Shopping Centre.
They said a man making a purchase at a cash register reached over the counter and grabbed numerous notes when the girl opened the cash drawer.
He then ran out of the store.
Police have this week released an image of a man they want to speak with in relation to the theft.
The man is described as being medium build, Caucasian, clean shaven, wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt, jeans and wearing sunglasses.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, visit the website at www.crimestoppers.com.au, or contact Senior Constable Van Der Poel at Dandenong Police on 9767 7444.
