THE BEST virtual guitarists in Melbourne’s south east flocked to Keysborough this week for a competition of legendary proportions.
Parkmore Shopping Centre hosted the Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock competition as part of its school holiday fun, with heats run from Monday to Wednesday and the winner decided tomorrow (Friday).
The competition pits players against one another in the Guitar Hero 3 video game for Nintendo Wii.
Players strum along on virtual guitars to their favourite rock anthems and the winner is determined by the highest number of points scored in each song.
The overall winner will receive a Nintendo Wii pack, while Parkmore Shopping Centre has been giving away daily prizes of a Nintendo DS handheld console with the portable edition of the game, Guitar Hero On Tour.
