A THIEF fled a Dandenong jewellery store wearing his claim around his neck.
Police are this week looking for witnesses to a jewellery theft at Zamels Jewellers in Dandenong Plaza on Saturday 26 January about 12.30pm.
A man entered the store and put a gold chain around his neck and then ran out of the store with it still on, police said.
Police believe a man wearing a short-sleeved check shirt with a yellow, black and white baseball cap, and a second man wearing a plain white T-shirt and who was seen with the first man shortly before the theft, could help with the investigation.
Police have this week released security camera images of two men they want to speak to in relation to the theft in the hope someone can identify the men.
Anyone who has information about the theft is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or www.crimestoppers.com.au, or call Senior Constable Van Der Poel at Dandenong Police on 9767 7444.
