GREATER Dandenong Police cued up against local Sudanese youths on Saturday when they hosted a pool competition in Springvale.
The competition was organised by Region 5 Multicultural Liaison Unit Senior Constable James Waterson in a bid to further strengthen ties between local police and the Sudanese community.
More than 20 Sudanese aged from 13 to their late 20s attended the event at the Springvale Community Centre, competing against 12 local police officers for the inaugural trophy.
Greater Dandenong TMU officers Senior Constables Richard Walter and Andrew Jones were victorious on the day, and plans are already underway for another similar event.
