DANDENONG’S Reading Cinemas will launch with a pre-release premiere of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
The new six-cinema complex located within the Dandenong Plaza will open to the public on Thursday August 28, with an official opening for special guests on Wednesday 27 August.
Reading Cinemas replaces the former Village Cinemas complex after Village Roadshow withdrew its silver screens from Dandenong last year.
In January, Village closed its Waverley Gardens cinema complex, leaving Greater Dandenong cinema-goers outraged and without a local cinema.
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor stars Brendan Fraser and is an expansion of the popular 1999 film The Mummy.
