SPRINGVALE has received an average month’s rainfall in just a week.
Rain that fell between 3 and 11 August reached 47mm at the Bureau of Meteorology’s weather station in Springvale.
Nearby Cranbourne recorded 30mm, Oakleigh 33mm, and Melbourne just 18mm. Springvale’s rainfall was one of the highest of any Melbourne suburb recorded for that week in the state according to Bureau statistics.
An average month’s rainfall for August is 50mm according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
