ANTI-ABORTIONISTS protested against the State Government’s planned abortion law changes outside the Health Minister’s Noble Park office this week.
The Tell the Truth Coalition arrived with placards bearing anti-abortion messages and spoke publicly against the State Government’s intention to make abortion a legal act.
Under the proposed changes to abortion law, women would be allowed to have doctors abort a pregnancy up to 24 weeks.
Beyond the 24 week mark, women would need the opinion of two doctors before an abortion is approved.
Tell the Truth spokeswoman Tanya O’Brien said abortion was a barbaric act.
“All Mr Andrews can offer is to legalise the killing of unborn children,” she said.
“The Minister for Health ought to consider the interests of all women – not just the abortion industry and the disgruntled radical feminist minority.”
Mr Andrews failed to respond before deadline, as did Family Planning Victoria.
