A MAN blew more than six times the legal blood-alcohol limit in a police blitz on drink driving in Noble Park last week.
On Thursday night 25 September police targeted drivers along Heatherton Road and nabbed five for drink driving, and one for drug-driving.
Police said the highest reading was a 40-year-old man who blew 0.321.
Sergeant Justin Asquith said police were more disturbed when the man told police he had only one drink.
“A reading such as this, being in excess of six times the .05 limit is very concerning,” he said.
“We processed a number of people between the ages of 18 and 64.
“It would appear that age is no barrier to how irresponsible people can be.”
Sgt Asquith said while disappointing, police had still saved lives.
