CHALCOT Lodge Primary in Endeavour Hills is a small school that offers the full range of curriculum, with specialist teachers in physical education, visual arts, performing arts and computer technology.
The air-conditioned, modern classrooms are each fitted with the latest technology, including interactive whiteboards and computer hubs.
Chalcot Lodge takes great pride in nurturing children to love school and love learning.
Principal Kay Schlanger said she placed priority on the ‘three Rs’.
“Students have the opportunity to be involved in the school choir, cheer squad, chess club, instrumental music, karate class, student leadership program, swimming and religious education programs and sport teams,” she said.
“Being a small school, we are able to get to know each student very well.”
Ms Schlanger said through the school’s thorough assessment program, staff were able to determine exactly where each child was up to in the various subjects and tailor the learning program to suit individual needs and interests.
“Our warm, caring family atmosphere assists children to make friends, feel happy and achieve success,” she said.
“Our buddy program further strengthens the sense of belonging and friendship. Bullying is definitely not tolerated.”
Ms Schlanger said that parents were welcomed into the school to hear reading, assist with the Perceptual Motor Program and attend excursions and camps.
Kay Schlanger can be contacted on 9700 4455 for further information or to arrange a personal tour. The school is in Primrose Close, Endeavour Hills.
A true love of learning
