Study exchange in Germany

BUSINESS or professional people are invited to apply for a group study exchange in Germany supported by Rotary International.
Professional people aged between 25 and 40 who live or work in the local Rotary district, which is Dandenong to Orbost, including the Mornington Peninsula, are invited to apply for the trip in Berlin that will take place between 29 May and 29 June next year.
Chairman of Rotary International for the Rotary Club of Cranbourne, Paul Rice, said the group study exchange was an opportunity of a lifetime.
“It’s absolutely fantastic. If you’re the right person, it’s life-changing really,” Mr Rice said.
Those chosen will make visits to German business places with a Rotarian team leader to see how things are done in their field in another country.
“They’ll show you everything about that vocation in Germany.”
About four people were usually chosen for the trip, Mr Rice said.
A group from the district in Germany will visit Australia in February for a month.
Chosen applicants will be interviewed by the Rotary Club of Cranbourne, and if successful, they will be sent for a district interview and a team will be chosen.
Air fares, uniform and accommodation are paid for by Rotary. Successful applicants cannot be Rotarian or related to a Rotarian. Applications close 19 December.
