Standard of success

By Lia Bichel
A NEWLY completed $40 million development in Dandenong is almost fully occupied and now has only two retail spaces vacant.
Deal Corporation’s Arkana development includes a mixture of office and retail space, conference facilities, apartments and almost 200 parking spaces.
Arkana is composed of two buildings, an eight-storey building on Lonsdale Street that includes four shops, and a six-storey building on Thomas Street that includes a three-level car park.
Simmy Abraham of Deal Corporation said Arkana was in a prime location.
“There is obviously a high demand for new office space in Dandenong,” he said.
“It’s the newest office building in more than 20 years and is built to the highest standards.” Mr Abraham said the majority of the 1500 square metre office space on Lonsdale Street was occupied by State Trustees and the Department of Human Services, while the Federal Government and Victorian WorkCover will occupy most of the office space in Thomas Street.
On the ground level of the Lonsdale Street development is the very successful cafe Beletti, Mr Abraham said.
A four-and-a-half star apartment hotel and conference centre is also in the Lonsdale Street building.
It is operated by Punthill and contains 56 hotel and apartment rooms and a fully-serviced conference facility.
