Dandy’s diet of delicacies

CAMELS made their way through Dandenong’s Afghan precinct last week to help promote Dandenong’s involvement in the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
The festival, which kicks off on 13 March, will feature Dandenong World of Food Tours to showcase the area’s multicultural offerings.
The Dandenong World of Food Tours have been developed from the successful Foodlovers and Cultural tours delivered by the City of Greater Dandenong since 2006.
Specialty restaurants, shops and markets located in Dandenong will feature in three different tours highlighting the diversity of the area – The Little India Tour, The Afghan Bazaar Tour and The World of Food Passport Tour.
Participants will also visit the Dandenong Market.
The Dandenong tours will run from 13 to 20 March.
Tickets are $65 and buses depart from Federation Square at 9.30am.
