GOOD drivers keen to pass on their skills are needed for a program in the City of Greater Dandenong.
The L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program is a community-based volunteer program designed to provide young learner drivers with access to driving practice under the supervision of a fully-licensed volunteer driver.
The program is specifically designed for drivers aged 16 to 21 who have significant barriers in obtaining their probationary licence.
Volunteer and learner drivers will be provided with training and the use of the L2P vehicle for this use.
Mentors will be required to act in the role of a supervising driver and help a young person build up 120 hours of driving experience prior to going for their probationary licence, and build a positive relationship with the learner driver, providing friendship and non-judgemental support to the young person.
Anyone interested in the program can contact 9793 2155.
