POLICE are investigating a serious assault outside the Nitro Gym on Princes Highway, Hallam.
A 55-year-old man was assaulted by four other men directly outside the gymnasium at 4.30pm on Tuesday 5 October.
The victim was punched and kicked by the offenders and received substantial injuries to his face and torso.
Police said the offenders are believed to have come from inside the gym.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault.
