History lunch

THE Dandenong and District Historical Society is holding its Christmas luncheon at the Dandenong RSL on 5 December at noon.
Stan Ciuchak will entertain with songs and music, while society member Jack Johnson will sell his recent publication ‘When the Clock Strikes: Growing up in the rural market town of Dandenong’.
The lunch is to celebrate the society’s busy year of collecting and archiving the history of Dandenong. Researchers are welcome in their rooms at 186 Foster Street on Wednesdays between 10am and 4pm.
Volunteers will break for Christmas following the luncheon and start “work” again in the second week of February.
