A COLOURFUL group of students at James Cook Primary School dressed like their favourite Smartie to raise funds for State Schools Relief (SSR) last week.
The students enjoyed dressing up in their favourite Smartie colour while raising money for the SSR, which is a charity supporting Victorian children who need school clothing and footwear to take part in school activities.
“Since 1930, State Schools Relief has been supporting children and families who cannot access quality clothing and footwear due to circumstances like poverty, neglect, family violence and natural disasters by supplying them with the shoes and clothes they need,” principal Kathy Sharp said,
“Our children thought they were showing how smart they could be by being colourful Smarties creating JCPS in colour.”
