A CAR crashed through a Hallam home on Saturday during a busy week for the Narre Warren SES.
The car hit the house in Nettle Drive destroying the wall on which the electricity meter box was mounted.
SES crews had to wait until the power company arrived to disconnect the mains supply before they could work on the roof structure.
The Narre Warren SES unit had more than 40 requests for assistance between 26 November and 4 December, most caused by last week’s stormy weather.
Strong winds on 29 November saw 11 trees fall, with four causing traffic hazards for motorists.
The downpour last Thursday resulted in 15 calls to the SES for help after flash floods, roof leaks and fallen trees.
