She’s on show
LEADING and emerging female artists have combined for the annual She exhibition in Dandenong.
The event launched to mark International Women’s Day and addresses gender politics to female-perspective through drawings, traditional paintings and contemporary works.

Country music
The Sunny Cowgirls will shine later this month when they return to Hallam for a special gig. The country music sisters, Sophie and Celeste Clabburn, will be supported by Jonny Taylor from Australia’s Got Talent.

The Kitchen turns one
DANDENONG Market’s demonstration kitchen is celebrating its first birthday.
Chef Russell Bald will cut and share a giant cake before leading a demonstration of a ‘people’s choice’ recipe, as voted on Facebook.There’ll be 52 free healthy, budget-friendly recipes on www.dandenongmarket.com.au to celebrate.

Seniors get physical
A FRIENDLY seniors exercise group is welcoming more members.
The class with an instructor is $7 per week.

Health for blokes
THE first Bloke’s Day Out event will be held in Springvale.
The Australian Street Rod Federation event aims to proactively support men’s health, with free health checks alongside a car show and other activities.
All money raised will be donated to men’s health services.
