Gang arrested over armed robbery spree

Police have arrested five men in Noble Park over a series of south-east armed robberies.
The armed robberies occurred on Thursday 20 April at a service station on Blackburn Road, Notting Hill, about 11.05pm, a fast-food restaurant on Westall Road, Springvale, about 11.35pm, and a fast-food restaurant on Edithvale Road, Chelsea Heights, about 11.45pm.
Police arrested two men in Dulcie Court, Noble Park North, about 12.55am on Friday 21 April.
They arrested three more men a short time later on Alamein Street, Noble Park, with assistance from the Canine Unit.
It was the first arrest for one of the dogs involved, Rocky.
Three 17-year-olds, an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old were taken into custody to assist police with their inquiries.
Police urged anyone who witnessed the armed robberies or who had information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
