Breakfast with an inspirational speaker will kick off International Women’s Day in Greater Dandenong.
SEBN and Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce are partnering to deliver the event at Highways in Springvale from 7.15am on Friday 9 March.
Samantha Gash will share her experiences in Life Beyond Your Comfort Zone.
She went from the bottom of her class in athletics to being the first woman and youngest person to complete the Four Deserts Grand Slam – one of the toughest endurance races on the planet.
Samantha’s a lapsed lawyer, lives in the Dandenong region and works on social impact projects.
In 2014 she ran 1968 kilometres across South Africa’s Freedom Trail to raise awareness for the high cost of feminine hygiene products.
She’s an ambassador for World Vision and last year raised more than $150,000 to fund six education programs during a 76-day run from India’s west to east.
Tickets are $55 per person or $500 for a table of 10.
